What’s Happening This Fall With the JBGA?

Last week Director of Instruction John Budwine paid a visit to the University of South Carolina with his student Doc Redman. Doc has been taking lessons from John for 2 years. The trip to USC was a recruitment trip for Doc. Doc is being touted by schools such as USC, Auburn, Virginia, Vanderbilt, Georgia Tech, and NCSU to play his college golf. The amazing part of this story is that Doc is only a Sophomore in high school at Leesville!!!

Keep an eye the newspaper and our web site to continue to learn of his journey!

This week, another JBGA student, Zach Seabolt, was named golfer of the week in the Big South Conference. Zach attends Winthrop University on a golf scholorship. Zach’s first collegiate was last week in which he finished 13th. Not too bad for his first event!!!

Director of Instruction, John Budwine finished in a tie for 5th place in this weeks CPGA Senior Event held at Treyburn Country Club in Durham. John had rounds of 74-72. As no, there were more than 6 players in the field!!!!

Greg Greksa, Senior Instructor with the JBGA and coach of Cardinal Gibbons Girls Golf Team, is having a very good year! Greg continues to mold the girls into one of the finest girls program in the Raleigh area!

Jimmy Hamilton, JBGA Instructor, coaches his own girls golf team at ST. Mary’s Academy. Jimmy’s team is on its way to having their best record in school history!

John coaches both the boys and girls golf teams at Cary Academy. The girls team is in only it’s second year and the team continues to improve.

As you can see, the Instructors of the John Budwine Golf Academy are very dedicated to our junior golfers. Our ratio of students 60% juniors and 40% adults. Our dedication to teaching the game of a lifetime to the younger generation is one of our major priorities.
