Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Joseph moved to Wake Forest and started his golf career at the age of 11. He won his first junior event here at Wildwood Green in the Junior Club Championship by over 30 strokes in 2001. Although he was recruited out of high school to attend UNCC as a music performance major, playing an instrument called the Bassoon, he was very successful in high school golf playing 4 years of varsity, low scoring freshman in the conference, and All State 2 out of 4 years. It didn’t take long for him to change paths, and after shooting a 64 in the NC Amateur, he was recruited to play golf at UNCP.
In 2014, he finished his studies at ECU, majoring in Chemistry with a minor in Spanish Education. He went on to play 3 years of mini-tour golf on the Swing-Thought Tour with a best finish of T-7th shooting (-13) 69-65-69. Joseph has been an instructor of golf for over 5 years, and has been a full-time employee at Wildwood Green since August 2022. He is striving to become a PGA member and will spend his next years learning, teaching and working towards his competitive goals!
